Albukhary International University (AIU), in collaboration with the Al-Tarmidhi Foundation and the Founder’s family initiative, successfully hosted a Special Sharing Session titled “From Campus to Calling: Building a Purposeful Life” on Monday, 22 September 2025, at the Convocation Hall, AIU.
The event brought together students, staff, and thought leaders to explore how values, discipline, and self-reflection can help individuals build meaningful lives and contribute positively to society.
🌍 Inspiring International Speakers
The session featured two world-renowned international speakers whose insights left a lasting impression on the AIU community:
- Maryam Lemu (Nigeria) – International Motivational Speaker & Relationship Coach. She emphasized the importance of self-reflection, discipline, and values as the foundation for long-term success, reminding students that success is not just about academic excellence but about character and resilience.
- Edris Khamissa (South Africa) – International Personal Development Coach. Sharing his personal journey of overcoming shyness, he inspired participants to build confidence, embrace personal growth, and contribute to their communities with courage and compassion.

Their sessions were engaging, practical, and deeply relatable to the challenges students face today.
🎓 Student Leadership in Action
A special highlight of the programme was the role of Muhammad Fathir Arizalrial Waliyulloh, a final-year Media and Communication student at AIU and an intern with the Al-Tarmidhi Foundation. Serving as the moderator, Fathir demonstrated AIU’s commitment to empowering students as future leaders who can confidently engage in global dialogues.
This element not only made the event more meaningful but also showcased AIU’s philosophy of learning through experience and leadership opportunities.
