A delegation of 22 representatives from Albukhary International University (AIU) took part in the “Echoes of Heritage” Cultural Night hosted by AIMST University, celebrating the beauty of multiculturalism, unity, and student collaboration.
The AIU delegation comprised members of the Student Representative Council (SRC) along with representative performers from the Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) and the AIU Myanmar Students’ Association (AMSA).
🌏 Strengthening Cultural Understanding Through Exchange
The evening began with an inspiring address by Nyan Phone Zaw @ Faiz, President of the AIU Student Representative Council (SRC), who emphasized the vital role of cultural exchange in fostering mutual understanding and unity among students of diverse backgrounds. He also joined the official opening ceremony alongside AIMST University’s leadership and student representatives.

🎁 Warm Hospitality and Recognition
As a gesture of appreciation, Prof. CHM Dr. Kathiresan V. Sathasivam, Vice-Chancellor of AIMST University, presented a token of appreciation to the AIU SRC. The event was also attended by AIMST’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, and Bursar, signifying the importance of inter-university engagement and shared values.
💃 A Night of Vibrant Performances
Adding vibrancy to the night, AIU’s talented performers from PPI and AMSA delivered captivating traditional performances.
- PPI showcased the “Tari Tambang Petaka” dance, a spirited Indonesian cultural piece.
- AMSA performed the “Shan Thingyan”, a festive traditional dance reflecting Myanmar’s heritage.
Their performances received enthusiastic applause, celebrating the diverse traditions and unity that define AIU’s multicultural student body.
