Albukhary International University (AIU) concluded the 2024/2025 academic session with a vibrant three-day celebration — the Language Centre (LC) Annual Showcase and Academic Excellence Awards 2025, held under the inspiring theme “Blooming Futures.”
The event marked a significant milestone for students completing the Pre-University English Programme (PREP), who are now ready to begin the next chapter of their academic journeys at AIU.

The celebration kicked off with an energetic Interclass Telematch and Cooking Competition, bringing students together in a joyful display of teamwork, creativity, and multicultural unity.
Participants infused their dishes and performances with flavours from around the world, reflecting AIU’s global environment and its commitment to nurturing harmony across cultures.

The highlight of the event came on 24 October 2025, when students gathered for the Academic Excellence Awards and Gala Night — a dazzling evening celebrating achievement, talent, and togetherness.
Graced by AIU Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh Bin Jaafar, the ceremony honoured students for their academic excellence and personal growth throughout the programme.
In his speech, Prof. Saleh encouraged students to “pursue success with purpose and sincerity,” reminding them that knowledge is not just for personal gain, but for the betterment of society.

Among the evening’s most celebrated moments was the presentation of the prestigious LC Icon 2025 Award to Chin Kezia Layam from the Philippines, recognised for her exceptional academic performance, leadership, and community involvement.
