🩺 Session 1: Early Detection Saves Lives

The session opened with “Awareness on Cancer: Early Detection Saves Lives”, delivered by Dr. Nor Liana Nisa Othman, O&G Consultant at Kedah Medical Centre.

Dr. Nor Liana underscored the importance of regular health screenings, self-examinations, and early detection — key factors in preventing late-stage diagnosis and improving recovery outcomes. Her talk highlighted that awareness, not fear, is the first step toward empowerment.

“Cancer is not a death sentence — awareness and early detection save lives,” she reminded the audience, encouraging all to prioritize routine check-ups.

👁️ Session 2: Healthy Eyes, Healthy Vision

The second session, “Healthy Eyes, Healthy Vision,” was presented by Dato’ Dr. Abdul Razak bin K.V. Koya Kutty, Chief Operating Officer and Ophthalmologist at Pusat Pakar Mata dan Lasik Utara.

Dr. Abdul Razak discussed preventive eye care, the impact of screen time, and ways to maintain good vision through proper habits, hydration, and diet.

Participants were also offered a free eye check, providing an immediate opportunity to assess and improve their ocular health.
