Albukhary International University (AIU) proudly concluded the UGREAT 2025 Programme with an inspiring closing ceremony officiated by Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh bin Jaafar, Vice Chancellor and President of AIU, held on October 10, 2025, at Lecture Theatre 6. The event marked the culmination of a transformative four-week journey that guided new Malaysian students through academic preparation, community integration, and personal development.

🌟 Vice Chancellor’s Inspiring Address: Gratitude, Growth, and Global Citizenship
In his keynote address, Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh extended heartfelt congratulations to the UGREAT 2025 participants for their active engagement and commitment throughout the programme. He reminded students to remain grateful for the rare opportunity to study at a fully sponsored institution founded upon compassion, service, and global unity — the noble vision of AIU’s Founder, Almarhum Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Albukhary.
He further encouraged students to live out the University’s 5A Core Values — Altruism, Accountability, Ambition, Adaptability, and Appreciation — and to practice The 8-Hour Rule, balancing academics, self-development, and community contribution.

“At AIU, education goes beyond classrooms. You are here not only to earn a degree, but to grow as leaders who will embody empathy, discipline, and a sense of purpose,” said Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh.
“AIU is a family of cultures — learn from each other, celebrate your diversity, and carry forward the values that unite us as a compassionate global community.”
He also highlighted the importance of engaging meaningfully with international peers, emphasizing that AIU’s unique multicultural environment offers students a rare opportunity to develop intercultural competence, global awareness, and respect for diversity.
