Albukhary International University (AIU) continues to be a hub for innovation, creativity, and impactful community engagement. On 16–17 August 2025, SoftNex, one of AIU’s active 3ZERO Clubs, successfully organized a 2-Day Digital Soft Skills & Innovation Workshop, bringing together knowledge, mentorship, and hands-on learning.
Nurturing Young Minds from SMK Tun Sharifah Rodziah (SMKTSR)
The workshop proudly welcomed 32 enthusiastic students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tun Sharifah Rodziah (SMKTSR). These young participants embraced the opportunity to learn, create, and innovate within a vibrant university environment.
The program was not only a learning platform but also a bridge—connecting secondary school students with the AIU community while preparing them for the digital-driven future.
A Collaborative Effort of Passion and Volunteerism
The sessions were facilitated by SoftNex members alongside dedicated volunteers from MasAA, demonstrating the spirit of teamwork, mentorship, and peer learning.
This collaborative approach provided students with role models and mentors while creating an engaging environment where ideas were shared freely and creativity was nurtured.
Hands-On Learning: From Creativity to Technology
Over the two-day journey, students were introduced to a variety of engaging sessions designed to build both soft skills and digital literacy. Key highlights included:
- 🎨 Creative Design with Canva – Students learned how to design posters, presentations, and visual content to express their creativity.
- 🔐 Digital Literacy & Online Safety – Awareness on responsible digital usage and how to protect oneself in the online world.
- 💻 Fundamentals of Computers – Introduction to basic computer knowledge essential for academic and professional growth.
- 📝 Microsoft Office Essentials – Hands-on training in Microsoft Word and productivity tools to strengthen digital skills.
- 🤖 AI Tools for Academic Support – Demonstrations on how Artificial Intelligence can be harnessed for research, writing, and learning.
- 🎬 CapCut Video Editing – Practical experience in video editing, enhancing creativity and storytelling abilities.
Each session combined theory with interactive, hands-on activities, ensuring students not only learned but also applied their skills in real-time.
Beyond the Classroom: Fun, Teamwork, and Reflection
The workshop went far beyond skill development. To create a memorable and engaging experience, organizers included:
